Hey there, I'm Lisa Wales. I have a BA from Connecticut College, where I played soccer and lacrosse. I am nationally certified in Spinning®, AFAA Personal Fitness Training, AFAA Group Exercise, and BodyPump. My training interests include HIIT training, cross training, strength training and Tabata. My training philosophy: Be fit, be healthy! I enjoy working with my clients to achieve their individual fitness goals. We do this by continuously alternating program to avoid plateaus and boredom.
As a Personal Trainer I have a philosophy in which exercise/fitness is one leg of a stool. The stool cannot stand with only one leg nor can it stand with only two legs. The benefits of exercise are as powerful as they are undeniable, but the key to a good exercise regimen is keeping a good balance between work and rest. A trainer can not only show you how to exercise properly, but can also give you the tools you need to take control going forward. My goal is to teach you how to become your own trainer by showing you the tips and tricks I have learned over the years. There’s two ways to train: the right way- which makes you strong and resilient and the wrong way- which can burn you out and get you hurt.
