Hey there, I'm Lisa Wales. I have a BA from Connecticut College, where I played soccer and lacrosse. I am nationally certified in Spinning®, AFAA Personal Fitness Training, AFAA Group Exercise, and BodyPump. My training interests include HIIT training, cross training, strength training and Tabata. My training philosophy: Be fit, be healthy! I enjoy working with my clients to achieve their individual fitness goals. We do this by continuously alternating program to avoid plateaus and boredom.
Lisa Gillis has a lifetime of active and healthy living and over 25 years of fitness and dance instruction and personal training experience. Lisa Gillis’ active lifestyle started at a young age with competitive gymnastics and soccer. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Management, Marketing, and Art from Simmons College in Boston she began her career in the fitness industry teaching Conditioning, Barre, TRX, Dancenergy, and Small Group Training. She is certified in ACE Group Exercise, ISCA Personal Training, ISCA Kettle Bell, TRX, SCW Small Group Training, Bender Barre Method, and Kathy G’s Tread Tabata. Here she teaches TRX/Circuit and is a personal trainer. When Lisa isn’t teaching or in the gym, you can find her with her husband, Bill, watching their sons Liam and Aidan play football, lacrosse, or hockey or walking her dog Rudy with her daughter Kailey.

A private session includes a postural analysis and a custom designed workout for your whole body, especially your transverse abdominal muscles! These muscles help to lengthen your spine, improve your posture and alleviate compression. Sarah integrates her knowledge of Movement for Toxic Stress which can help to improve nervous system functioning and helps to reduce stress so you get a great workout for your body alignment and your internal systems. Sarah holds a 500 hour Comprehensive Balanced Body Pilates Certification and is Certified in Movement for Trauma and has worked with clients of all ages.
